Why Custom Orthotics?
Whether you’re visiting our office for pain, preventive care or to improve your athletic performance, custom-made functional orthotics could help. As part of your New Patient exam, our team may recommend you perform a foot scan to show how imbalances in your feet are contributing to problems in the knees, hips, back and shoulders. Depending on the severity of your results, the foot scan will show how Functional Orthotics can help. Following a foot scan, a detailed report will provide you with a Foot Pronation/Stability Index, a bilateral Foot Assessment, and a Body Assessment demonstrating how balanced your weight is distributed from left to right. This information will be used to make an orthotic mold based on each individual foot along with your body weight, height and common shoe type.
