My highest intention for our office is to create a safe, comfortable environment where patients can get well, stay well and reach their greatest potential. I learned early on in my education that patients have limited access and understanding of alternative medicine. And through my experience I’ve seen that there is not one healing technique that can help everyone. Lastly I’ve learned that lifestyle changes are key to patient outcomes. So, in learning all of this I realized that to truly get a patient well the best approach is a team of practitioners that each excel in their discipline and when grouped together give patients every tool they need to address any and all health concerns.
Ultimately, the healing techniques chosen for our office represent only the most researched, validated and widely used alternative medicine techniques in the world: Chiropractic – to address spinal and nervous system flow, Massage – to address muscular imbalance, Acupuncture – to address the energy of organ systems and Nutrition – to create nutritional sufficiency and clear toxicity.
Along with encouraging regular exercise and teaching techniques for stress relief, our team of practitioners work closely with one another pooling education across 4 separate disciplines. I believe our approach is forward thinking and the patient experience is above and beyond that of most healthcare approaches today.

Dr. Pete Borboa, DC
Dr. Pete is a skilled and passionate Chiropractor with over 13 years experience in adjusting and spinal rehabilitation. He was born and raised in Los Angeles. He obtained his Bachelors of Human Biology in 2003 and Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2004 from the same school Dr. Heidi attended, Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles. This institution is well known for having strong Chiropractic philosophy as well as producing doctors of Chiropractic with incredible adjusting skills.
He was fortunate enough to work with one of the leading instructors of a powerful spinal remodeling system called The Pettibon System, for several years. This gives him a unique ability to help you take your spinal care to the next level and achieve long lasting results in less time. “What I love about Pettibon is that it gives the power over to patients. I teach them how to use the spinal rehabilitation equipment they need and we work together to fix their spine. Adjustments are simply not enough with all the stresses we face in this modern life.” Dr. Pete is also trained in the following treatments: SOT non-force adjusting (used for geriatric, pediatric or any patient who prefers non-force adjusting), myofascial release (for soft tissue rehab), extremity assessment and adjusting, and wellness nutrition to optimize healing and reduce inflammation.
He knows that Chiropractic is a powerful, essential component of health, yet simply a piece of the puzzle. He believes strongly that our daily choices have longstanding affects on us and those we care about. How we eat, move and think are the pillars for the foundation of health and the life we build for ourselves and our families.
Dr. Pete stays active and lives the healthy lifestyle that he teaches his patients. He has completed the Aids/Lifecycle (7 day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles) four times and has done several obstacle course races throughout the years, including Tough Mudder and Spartan races. He knows sometimes we all lose motivation and focus, but he encourages everyone to seek new ways to stay engaged in their physical health. As Dr. Pete will say, “Health is simply a means to an end, a vehicle for you to create the life you desire, a life full of meaning, fulfillment and joy. What life will you choose?

Lynsey Benesch, CMT
Lynsey joined the Inner Movement healing team in the summer of 2017.
She graduated as CMT from A to Z Health, Reseda, CA in 2014.
During these few short years she has gained much experience. Having worked for chiropractors since graduation, she has seen a pattern of chronic pain and tension due to our demanding life-styles of today.
To witness patients improve after receiving regular Soft Tissue Therapy sessions has been very rewarding. Knowing that she can aid with healing, pain management and increased range of motion, as well as elevating mood, she can see the benefits of Soft Tissue Therapy and has found her true calling.
Lynsey specializes in deep tissue and Swedish, focusing on neck/shoulder pain, sinus pressure/headaches, low back pain/sciatic pain and tendinitis.
During my time with InnerMovement, I have developed my prenatal technique, learning from the best prenatal chiropractor I’ve worked for, “Dr. Heidi”. It has boosted my confidence in providing optimal care for prenatal patients & prepping them for birth. I’ve been able to relieve many pregnancy related conditions such as back pain, pelvic pain, carpal tunnel and heart burn.
Lynsey can be very strong, but also has a light touch for the faint of heart. She listens and pays extra attention to her patients' needs, to provide a perfectly tailored session. She is very detailed and has an intuitive healing energy in her touch.
