Dr. Heidi moved to California from Michigan to obtain a Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College. She graduated Cum Laude in 2004 and was honored Student of the Year.
By vote of her colleagues she also received the Student Community Leader award. Since then Dr Heidi has remained involved in her community serving as past president of the International Chiropractic Association, student mentor at CCCLA, classroom volunteer and PTA Vice President for the past 3 years.
Her professional memberships include International Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the California Chiropractic Association.
Upon receiving her diploma she established her Chiropractic practice in Glendale and has successfully helped hundreds of patients move out of pain and into a fuller life.
In 2008 her practice expanded into a Wellness center offering not only effective Chiropractic care but also Detoxification, Nutrition and Massage.
Dr. Heidi believes fully in the power of the body. Stating, “It is time we gain our full trust back in the process of nature. Nature coordinates our beginning and should be left to lead our dance of existence. From conception to birth to all of life, the power that made the body, heals the body and should be respected and trusted above unnecessary intervention.”
She believes Chiropractic to be one of the most powerful tools in releasing the bodies healing potential. “By clearing the nervous system I am able to help patients eliminate pain and regain their connection to health.
It is an honor and I am grateful for the opportunity to fulfill my mission in helping others heal.”
Pregnancy & Pediatrics
In addition to her 8 years of Chiropractic school Dr. Heidi also earned a Fellowship in working with Pregnancy & Pediatrics. She is certified and proficient in the Webster Intrauterine Constraint technique which deems her a specialist in relieving breech presentation or any pregnancy related pain.
In 2003, she organized the first ever Children’s Health & Wellness Expo in Los Angeles. When asked why she undertook this endeavor she said, “Health begins in the womb and continues from childhood to adult, it is extremely important that parents understand that there are many natural alternatives to building a strong foundation of health for their child so that they may grow into healthy adults”.
She has lectured regularly on the topic of Vaccination-Informed choice but also lectures regularly on adult centered topics with the intention of moving people towards health “naturally”.
“Our bodies are very complex but most of the answers to what ail us are very simple, patients just need the right information and with a little effort and clear intention we can all heal.”
Adjusting skills
Dr. Heidi is also very focused on her adjusting skills. The techniques utilized in her office are all hands on, they are effective but above all honoring to the patient. Prior to graduation she taught Spinal Biomechanics at her Chiropractic college and has been teaching adjusting classes to Chiropractic students since graduation.
